How to define the anchor cross-section properties?

Modify the cross-section properties

In case that the thickness of the planar elements is set to 1 m’ but the anchor spacing (a) is different (a <> 1 m). Then it is required to adapt the cross-section properties to 1 m’.

This can be done by using the SVAL text input.

In case that the cross-section is defined via Graphical User Interface (GUI), then the elastic modulus E of the anchor material should be reduced with a factor 1/a.

Thickness of the planar elements = anchor spacing

If the anchor spacing is constant then the thickness of the planar elements can be set equal to the anchor spacing (thickness of the planar elements = anchor spacing).

In this case no modification of the anchor cross-section properties is required.
