Dynamo for SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler#

Utilize Visual Programming together with SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler for improved automation and flexibility. Functionalities for component’s creation of SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler are available as Dynamo Nodes.

You can create your own workflows and connect various data sources using costomized scripts.

Introduction#

Concept#

SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler gives you the possibility for easy and intuitive modelling of varius linear structures and creation of drawings. It’s capabilities are reachable through UI, where all the options are selectible by icons, checkboxes etc. SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler tries to maximaze the work efficiency and flexibility. In some cases however, certain tasks and data sources are not supported and repetative manual data input may be considered as time consuming.

New modelling interface through graphical programming challnages these two problems to automate repetative tasks and open workflows for new data sources and controls.

Dynamo for Visual Programming#

Dynamo is a visual programming application for Autodesk Revit. Dynamo gives you the possibilities to create custom scripts for various processes, tasks and computational design in BIM environment. This modeling interface automates tasks for both non-programmers and programmers.

Activation of Nodes#

In order to activate nodes for SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler

  1. Open Dynamo and create new project

  2. Click ‘Add - on +’ in the library with nodes.

  3. Import Library Dialog appears

  4. Search for C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\sofistik_bridge_modeler_2023.bundle\Contents\SDK\dynamo\package\bin and confirm with OK

  5. Dynamo Nodes of sof_sbim_nodes_six will be loaded into the library.

    After new start of Dynamo, SOFTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler nodes will be visible.
