SOFiSTiK Web Licensing#
SOFiSTiK Web Licensing is a web-based alternative to a local CodeMeter license server that requires an active internet connection. It is available for SOFiSTiK products released 2026 and later.
It enables organizations to provide licensed access to SOFiSTiK software without operating their own licensing infrastructure.
Users sign in with their SOFiSTiK account, while License Administrators manage users and license assignments through the SOFiSTiK Licensing Portal. A user can be signed in on multiple devices, but a license can only be used on one device at a time.

For License Administrators#
Each organization has one or more users with the Owner role and License Administrator rights for the SOFiSTiK Licensing Portal. The portal is where you manage users and licenses for your organization.
License Administrators can:
Invite and disable users
Assign and change user roles
Assign and remove licenses
View license usage information
Getting Access#
After your organization has been enabled for SOFiSTiK Web Licensing, you will receive an invitation email from SOFiSTiK.
Follow the link in the email to create your SOFiSTiK account. After registration, you will automatically become an Owner of your organization for the SOFiSTiK Licensing Portal.
Inviting Users#
Owners and License Administrators can invite additional users by entering one or more email addresses in the portal.
Invited users will receive an email containing instructions for activating Web Licensing.
Assigning Licenses#
Owners and License Administrators can add, change or remove licenses for users.
For End Users#
SOFiSTiK Web Licensing users receive an invitation email from their organization’s License Administrator.
Getting Access#
After being invited, you will receive an email containing a link to join your organization’s SOFiSTiK Web Licensing environment.
Follow the link to create your SOFiSTiK account or sign in with an existing account.
Activating Web Licensing#
Open SOFiSTiK Application Manager and install your desired SOFiSTiK products
Open .
Sign in with your SOFiSTiK account.
Select Web Licensing as the active licensing method.
You now have access to all SOFiSTiK products and features assigned to you by your organization’s License Administrator.
