Service-Pack 2025-5#
SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop#
Design Codes#
General
DIN FB102-2009 / DIN FB104-2009: Default value for maximum tan(θ) is now 1.0 (boxed value TANMAX), corresponds to a minimum cot(θ) 1.0.
CSA S6-19: Modification of the action C - is now similar to C in the Eurocode with PART P SUP PERM.
IFC/SAF Data Exchange#
General
IFC Import: Reading model now continues without fatal errors in cases of empty optional attributes and long integers such as timestamps.
Cross Sections and Materials#
Bugfix
The reference points of CDS profiles were incorrect.
The detailed output via ECHO SECT did not worked. (236750)
Missing materials were not checked when calculating the shear reinforcement in standard cross-sections. (236831)
Sometimes the position of reinforcement points and stress points in thin-walled elements was not detected correctly. (236734)
Moving Load Train Analysis#
Bugfix
The train loads were not applied correctly when the geometric axis (reference line) selected for the load application was referenced by structural lines that were overlapping one another. This has been fixed.
FEABENCH: In case of an eccentric shell element with orthotropic thicknesses spurious moments due to eccentricities were introduced. The issue has been fixed. (237008)
FEABENCH: In case of shell elements with orthotropic behavior introduced using sectional values the thickness for shear action is now derived from the actual sectional area (previously the shear area of the section was used). (237008)
Combinations and Superpositions#
General
MAXIMA: Performance of the combination tracer has been improved, computation time significantly reduced.
Bugfix
MAXIMA: Fixed bug in combination tracer (TRAC), when processing results on the left / right of a cross-section and non-contributing load cases have been filtered out.
Design of Concrete Columns#
Bugfix
The calculated amount of reinforcement was not shown in the list of all columns in the task ‘Column Design Assistant’.
Design of Concrete Beams#
Bugfix
In some cases, globally defined load case combinations and the type of load cases were not recognised correctly. (236629)
Fixing of the default value for the factor with which a load case is processed in the BEAM module.
Design Checks for Composite Cross Sections#
Feature
Envelopes of the results for all load cases of a task (e.g. maximum or minimum stress in the material) can be stored with the command RENV.
It is now also possible to explicitly set the material safety factors for the ultimate limit state design checks with the command GAMA.
The computation time has been significantly reduced for certain cases where the calculation of stresses required much time. (232761)
Bugfix
The calculation of the minimum reinforcement (TASK MINR) for the limitation of the crack width was always done using a crack width limit of 0.2 mm and did not always use the decisive resp. largest bar diameter in the concrete element. (236734)
For control of cracking due to direct loading (TASK CRAC) the limit stresses based on the bar diameter were not correct for the crack width limit of 0.3 mm.
The calculation of the shear forces for the design of the shear connection (TASK BOND) did not reset the stiffness of the concrete to the original value of the concrete type. This has been enabled now to always calculate the shear forces based on the uncracked cross-section (also for sections modeled with reduced elastic modulus of the concrete).
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)#
Feature
The Excel file generated by the calculation of the Life Cycle Assessment can now be opened directly via the context menu of the task.
Bugfix
Several adjustments for the export of LCA results to Excel:
Update of the Excel template file to fix some issues.
In some cases the export of design elements had to be corrected.
Interactive Pre- and Postprocessors#
Viewer#
Interactive System Visualization Tool
General
Improved overall performance and application stability.
Feature
Added visualization of design elements.
Bugfix
Fixed a potential infinite synchronization loop.
Resolved an issue where beams could appear with incorrect colors after loading a view.
Fixed duplicate synchronization when rendering the model in a deformed state.
Result Viewer#
Graphical and Tabular Post-Processing
Bugfix
Reinforcement stress with tension stiffening in concrete from the COMPOSITE programme was not calculated with reduced Young’s modulus.
Graphic#
Graphical Representation of FE Structures and Results
Bugfix
Sometimes the group selection of split structural lines did not work. (236157)
Sometimes invalid utilisation levels on design elements were displayed incorrectly.
Sometimes single input loads were not displayed.
Sometimes input loads on structural lines were not displayed. (236723)
The picture numbers in the GRA file (“AND POSI…”) were incorrect if more than one layer was in a picture. (236544)
The VIEW definition in reference of split structural lines did not work. (236480)
GRA file: The changes for colours of structural areas were not saved. (236724)
GRA file: The definition of visibility of placements was not saved correctly. (237466)
