SAF - Structural Analysis Format
Fixed incorrect length of the segment type “Circular Arc” in the “StructuralCurveMember” worksheet.
Internal forces of the truss elements, were not transferred correctly when exporting from SOFiSTiK to IDEA StatiCa Checkbot due missing section at start of truss elements. (232693)
The numerical conversion between units in “CompositeShapeDef” worksheet for the polygon contours has been improved. For example: in previous versions of FEA 2025 the polygon contour 0.1588 m was exported as 158.79999999999998 mm.
Cross Sections and Materials#
General
A warning is issued if changed weight of cable material is not used for the cable dead weight. (232522)
The default for cable materials is “Spiral strand rope”. (232524)
The input TMAX of the reinforcement is used as bar diameter for the calculation of the default of the dynamic allowance acc. to EN + NA’s for fatigue check. (231165)
Solid sections using material definitions with MATE / MAT have now the default for the calculations as FEM sections.

For cross section interpolation a new warning occurs if a structural line is not assigned to an axis. (233274)

Moving Load Train Analysis#
Feature
The SSD Task Moving Load Train Analysis provides the option to add critical speeds for the analysis. These critical speeds are calculated automatically based on the eigenfrequencies of the structure and the properties of the selected load train.
Earthquake RSA#
Bugfix
The redundant parameter “Soil Class” has been removed from the Expert Settings of the Earthquake RSA task when using the IBC/UBC spectrum. Additionally, the response spectrum table in the report has been improved for the previously mentioned spectra. (232973)
Plastic Hinges & Performance Categories#

Prevent a crash when opening the Plastic Hinge task without a valid cross section available.

General
MAXIMA: Possibility of CTRL INIT - deletion of combination rules is marked as obsolete and will be obsolete in version 2026. Please use the possibilites of ‘Clean database’ in TEDDY / SSD.
Shear Wall Design#
Bugfix
Text Output written by SSD Task Shear Wall Design did not include the
OPT CTM/FLEX
argument to differentiate between Compression and Tension Method and Generel Design Method, so all designs were performed according to the default method.
Design of Concrete Beams#
Feature
Module BEAM offers now the possibility to design beams with different cross sections per span.
COMB LC ALL can be used to select all available load case combinations.
Bugfix
Add error message when a design element without a cross section is selected for design with module BEAM.
Design Checks for Composite Cross Sections#
Feature
For the checks for the control of crack widths a summary has been added in the report.
It is now possible to select specific load cases, when requesting a detailed output at selected sections.
Bugfix
In some systems where the steel part of bridge girder(s) are constructed in several parts, there appeared problems in the calculation of the elastic stresses. This has been corrected. (232516)
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)#

In default the GWP values for concrete and reinforcement are now choosen according to ÖKOBAUDAT EN 15804+A2.
Excel Export of LCA results:

It has been enhanced that the
Calculation program displays the current calculation time in the “Time” column while the FEA module is running. In previous versions, the calculation time of a module was only displayed after the module calculation had been finished. (230031)

Bugfix
For the case of a subdivided structural line subjected to a free line load in local direction, the orientation of the resulting nodal loads has been corrected. (232510)
For the case of a free line load in local direction without user-specified structural line number, the coordinate system of each affected line is used to orient the resulting nodal loads. (232491)
When copying loads from load trains in systems with curved lanes and skew placements, there were deviations of the loaded area from the lane geometry. This has been fixed.

Representation of longitudinal and transversal loading in the influence line plots has been corrected.
Correction of the loading group GR4 (residual load on total traffic area) in combination with the length dependent residual load, such as LM4. (232837)
Factors for load trains with varying transverse wheel distances have been corrected for cases where LSEL INT > 2, and the calculation of influence lines and lane loading is split into two or more ELLA runs.
