User Interface#

The command User Interface provides access to the following tools.

Infra Browser#

Browser#

You can open an Infra Browser Panel to browse through SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure elements. All objects will be listed with in the expabdable tree showcasting it’s data and dependencies between the elements. You can select any elements to run a context relevant command, such as: Show, Isolate, Delete, Refresh elements or Process Pendings and Show Selected (objects in model space).

Infra Browser will be automatically recreated by opening the project, switching between the documents and (re)openign the Infra Browser. You can do it manually by clicking with right mouse button on an empty space and selecting Re-Create command.

  1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge > Other panel > icon_User_Interface (User Interface) > Infra Browser

  2. Activate (or deactivate) Infra Browser panel using the checkbox.

  3. Infra Browser panel displays.

  4. Browse through created elements and use context relevant commands to navigate in your model.

Element Info#

Show additional information of selected element in the Browser such as names, ID(s) and warning

Tip

You can rename the Superstructure, Superstructure Repeater and Terrain in Element Info panel.

Station Query#

You can query an information of any station on the axis (ID, Station and coordinates). Corresponding data will be listed in the Station Query panel. You can save this data in the TXT file or create a table in CSV or OpenXML XLSX file using commands in the bottom of the panel. Additionally, you can get information about any point (coordinates, direction vector of edge) or distance between two points (including delta XYZ)

  1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge > Other panel > icon_User_Interface (User Interface) > Station Query

  2. Activate (or deactivate) Station Query panel using the checkbox.

  3. Station Query panel displays.

  4. Use commands in the bottom of the panel to query icon_Six_Station_Selection an axis, point, save data icon_SiX_Save_File or clear the panel icon_Six_Delete .

Inspect Geometry#

You can check the geometrical properties of created tendons.

  1. Click SOFiSTiK Bridge > Other panel > icon_User_Interface (User Interface) > Inspect Geometry

  2. Activate (or deactivate) Inspect Geometry panel using the checkbox.

  3. Inspect Geometry panel displays.

  4. Use commands in the panel to check the corresponding geometrical properties of Tendons.

Curvature Review#

You can check the curvature of the Tendon (Horizontal, Vertical, 3D direction) to ensure the correct design according to standards and specifications. You can define the condition (min. radius) to be highlighted in the 3D or 2D views. Results is shown graphically in the model space or in activated 2D canvas.

  • Source - select a tendon object for curvature review

  • Mode - select the output (Horizontal, Vertical, 3D Radius)

  • Range - define the range for the graphs

  • Scale - define the size of the graphs

  • Sample Points - define the density of the checking points along the tendon

  • Tolerance (Max. Radius) - define the upper limit for the radius to visualize

  • Condition (Min. Radius) - define condition to be checked and visualized

  • 3D On/Off - turn on/off graphics in model view

  • 2D On/Off - turn on/off graphics in 2D canvas

  • Report - opens text report with stations where the condition is not satisfied

Interference Check#

You can check whether selected Tendon element clashes with other Tendons or other objects. Results are shown graphically in the model space or as the report with ID and other information.

  • Source - select tendon object for interference check

  • Target - select objects to check the clashes

  • Check - run the checking process

  • 3D On/Off - turn on/off results in model view

  • Report - opens text report with clashes and additional information, such as Element Ids and interference volumes

Distance Check#

You can check distances between selected Tendons to ensure the correct positioning of ducts according to the standards and specifications. Distance will be measured according to the Basis Axis with respect to the centerline or outer line (tendon perimeter)

  • Source - select a tendon object(s) for distance checked

  • Source Mode - select which tendons should be proven against

  • Base Axis - in case two or more selected tendons belong to different axes, select an axis for distance calculation

  • Distance Mode - select calculated distance between centerlines or outer lines of tendons

  • Sample Points - define the density of the checking points along the tendon

  • Condition - define min. distance to be checked between tendons along the axis

  • Check - run the checking process

  • Report - opens text report with station and tendon information, where the min distance condition was not satisfied
