Earthquake Analysis - Storey Level Results¶
Introduction¶
The following tutorial is focused on the workflow for the evaluation of storey level results within the scope of earthquake analysis. The tutorial is based on the same model used to describe the workflow for the earthquake analysis using Response Spectrum Analsysis (RSA), which can be found under the following link Earthquake Analysis with RSA.
The analysed system is modelled in Revit and afterwards exported to SSD. For further theoretical information about the storey level definition, we refer you to our handbook DYNA_1.pdf.
Note
The project files, available for download, are updated to versions: Revit 2020 and SOFiSTiK version 2020. The workflow, presented in the following videos, was prepared by using the older versions: Revit 2019, and SOFiSTiK version 2018.
Evaluation of the design storey level results is done in the framework of EN 1998-1-2004. Calculated values are used to evaluate the interstorey drift sensitivity coefficient and the limitation of interstory drift acc. 4.4.2.2(2) and 4.4.3.2 EN 1998-1, respectively.

Note
In the following example the design spectra for horizontal directions were used with the behaviour factor of 1.5. Acceleration was chosen to be 2.45 m/s².
